The Meadow - for beginning orchestra

10.00 15.00

This piece was written in 2013 while the composer was in his first orchestra teaching job. He needed a piece that could accommodate complete beginners as well as players who had some experience. To solve the problem, Kujawa decided to compose new piece of music. The work is very simple in D Major and has bowings written in for every note/part. Violin, viola, and cello each have a 1st and 2nd part. The 1st parts change notes with in the D & A strings (violin 1 has an open E note). The 2nd parts only use open D & open A, thus to accommodate the complete beginner as stated above. The single double bass part only uses open D, open G, and 1st finger A on the G string. Included in this purchase are: score, Violin 1 part, violin 2, viola 1, viola 2, cello 1, cello 2, double bass, and cover photo. This purchase also grants the right to make part copies as needed for your particular group ONLY. The work was premiered in 2013 at Franklin Middle School in Green Bay, WI. The piece is about 1 minute long.
